PTK has been busy getting ready for the upcoming induction on May 8, where almost 200 new students will be inducted. The new officer team will be getting ready to come on board after induction, where they will focus on getting QCC's chapter to five-star status through the rigorous completion of the Honors in Action Project.

Last week, PTK members volunteered for Accepted Students Day, as well as a Polar Park event hosted by Admissions. The students have also been busy raising funds for the PTK scholarship fund, which includes an upcoming Ernie’s Car Wash fundraiser.

On Friday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m., QCC will hold its 58th commencement ceremony at the DCU Center in Worcester. Come cheer on the hundreds of graduates as they celebrate the hard work they've put in to earn a degree or certificate! The event is free and open to the public. Don't forget to share your commencement day photos on social media using #Quinsig2023.

The keynote speaker will be Honorable Margaret R. Guzman who was appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as a Federal District Court Judge for the District of Massachusetts, sitting in the Worcester Federal Court, in 2023. She previously served for nearly 14 years in the Massachusetts State District Court, including a term as First Justice of the Ayer District Court. She served on numerous Trial Court Committees, including Judicial Education, Race and Ethnic Fairness, and Supreme Judicial Select Committee on Implicit Bias. Judge Guzman has additionally participated in numerous professional associations and is presently an active Faculty Member of the National Judicial College.
