Fresh Check Day

What is Fresh Check Day?

Fresh Check Day is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event for colleges that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, free food, entertainment, and exciting giveaways. Fresh Check Day aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health and help to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community, and nationally.

QCC's 3rd Annual Lung Walk

April 27, 2024 | 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Upper Track (Rain Location: Athletic Center)

The Respiratory Care Club will be hosting QCC's 3rd Annual Lung Walk on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11am - 4pm at QCC's Upper Track (Rain Location: QCC Athletic Center). 

This event will have sponsored walkers, a family activity area containing face painting, sack races, carnival-style games like ring toss and children's prizes, a 50/50 raffle, Basket raffles, and Respiratory Care Club t-shirts and small items for sale. Additionally, the event will have a Lung Awareness Education table and a Respiratory Care program table.

The Respiratory Care Club will offer refreshments for sale in the form of freshly popped popcorn, cotton candy, coffee, water, and sodas.

There will also be Food Trucks available for other food options. 

Join the Respiratory Care Club and bring awareness to respiratory health and wellness!

Brain Blast: 90's Edition

Your brain is the epicenter of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This interactive workshop will help you better understand your brain, how to best service and maintain your brain’s needs, and offers the opportunity to access and apply interventions with “real-time” results. Most importantly, this experience is a “blast from the past” with a 90’s theme that will be sure to allow you to have fun, relax, and recharge your brain!

  • Enhance understanding of your brain
  • Engage in “real-time” activities/interventions that provide immediate relief and recharge. (mindfulness, art, music, movement etc.)
  • Build your skillset to support stress management, emotional regulation, and more productive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  • Have a great time!
