New Student Orientation (NSO)

A sense of belonging provides new students with a sense of security, identity, and community.

NSO will be in person on the West Boylston Campus. The focus will be on QCC technology, academic success, campus resources and services, and student engagement.

What to expect at orientation:

  • Become a part of a unique, supportive community of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Be introduced to resources and opportunities available for growth and success.
  • Meet new and returning QCC students.
  • Become familiar with the campus buildings and services.

You will leave feeling a part of the QCC community and prepared to begin the next phase of your education.

Online Orientation

Provides the ultimate virtual onboarding experience.

ALL new students are encouraged to complete the online orientation. It is a self-paced module and takes about 1 hour to complete; after completion, students can refer to each informational section.

Welcome Week

The Office of Student Life and Leadership collaborates with the campus community at the start of each semester to create the Welcome Week experience.

This week-long programming initiative is to support our new and returning students in engaging with the QCC family outside the classroom to build a sense of belonging! We encourage you to take full advantage of Welcome Week and enjoy the various programs that QCC offers!

For a list of the Welcome Week events, please visit the Student Life events calendar at the start of each semester!

First-Year Programming

Throughout the fall and spring semesters during your first year at QCC.

Community and knowledge are the cornerstones of the community college experience. These programs provide students with the knowledge, tools, and resources to succeed in and out of the classroom during their first year on campus.
