Welcome to Wyvern Nation!

New Students, we are so excited to welcome you to Quinsigamond Community College (QCC)!

The Orientation Program at QCC includes three categories:

  1. Summer Summit Days
  2. New Student Orientation
  3. First-Year Programming

The Orientation Registration Form

It is mandatory for all new students wishing to attend the program to complete the below registration form.

The information you provide in this form will help us prepare an interactive, engaging, and informative program. New students will need to select ONE Summer Summit Day AND select ONE New Student Orientation session. Remember the Summer Summit Days are virtual and a zoom link will be provided within one week of the scheduled program, and to choose the NSO session on the QCC campus the majority of your classes are being held.

Summer Summit Days

Held virtual, on zoom, from June through August. 

A good, strong start is the key to any college student’s success. You will choose one virtual session to join in our Online Learning Coaches, Academic Advisors, and Financial Aid Representative to review the first steps in beginning your career at QCC.

  • Connect with Advising.
  • Introduction to the technology platforms (Qmail, The Q, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Learn about the financial assistance available. 
  • Answer any questions that you may have. 

New Student Orientation 

Held the last week of August (August 26 - September 2).

A sense of belonging provides new students with a sense of security, identity, and community.
NSO will be held in-person at the campus the majority of your courses are being held. The three campus locations are:

  1. Downtown (Federal Street, Worcester) | Friday, September 2, 2022 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
  2. Southbridge (SB High School) | Friday, August 26, 2022 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
  3. West Boylston Street (Worcester) | Monday, August 29 or Tuesday, August 30 or Wednesday, August 31, or Thursday, September 3 | Various times depending on date

The focus of these sessions will be on community building, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), team and leadership building, campus resources, student involvement, and academic expectations. 

First-Year Programming 

Throughout the fall and spring semesters, during your first year at QCC. 

Community and knowledge are the cornerstones of the community college experience. 
These programs provide students the knowledge, tools, and resources to find success, in and out of the classroom, during their first year on campus.
