QCC has established a tradition of honoring worthy retired and retiring professors with the title of Professor Emeritus. To receive this honor, a faculty member must have served for 15 or more years as a full-time member of the Quinsigamond faculty, and be deemed worthy of being acknowledged for excellence in teaching, and for personifying the mission of the College in the community.

While recipients were unable to be honored in-person, each will be invited back to campus as QCC’s begins to hold large gatherings, to be celebrated and honored in front of their colleagues. This year, QCC bestowed this honor on six professors:

  • Rafael Vicente, Professor of Mathematics
  • Carol Rinaldi, Professor of Mathematics
  • Andreana Grimaldo, Professor of Mathematics
  • Roger Meservey, Professor of Biology
  • Charlene Mara, Professor of Early Childhood Education
  • Cheryl Finn, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medical Services & Paramedics

"The Emeritus recognition indicates how highly respected these faculty and administrators are by their students and colleagues and I offer them my very best wishes for happiness and health as they enter into retirement. Their impact on this College and in the Worcester community will be long-remembered,” said QCC President Luis G. Pedraja, Ph.D.
