Commission on Latino Education and Advancement to Hold Listening Session

WORCESTER, MA—June 4, 2019— The Mayoral Commission on Latino Education and Advancement will be holding its second listening session, “Latino Families in Worcester Part II,” for all interested community members on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the YMCA (Central Community Branch) 766 Main Street, Worcester.

The Commission is co-chaired by Dr. Luis G. Pedraja, president of Quinsigamond Community College and Mary Jo Marion, assistant vice president for Urban Affairs & executive director of the Latino Education Institute at Worcester State University. The goal of the Commission is to develop a greater awareness and understanding of all of the issues that affect the Latino community both inside and outside of school classrooms.
