QCC Receives $120,000 Grant; Will Officially Dedicate Renovated Lab on April 25

WORCESTER, Mass. –   Quinsigamond Community College will unveil and dedicate their renovated lab in the Administration building, on Wednesday, April 25, thanks to a $120,000 grant from the Fairlawn Foundation.

With the grant from the Fairlawn Foundation, QCC was able to renovate an older, traditional classroom into a modern, multi-media lab with digital video equipment, computer capability, and wireless internet access.  Laptops have also been purchased for use in the lab, which is primarily used by the health program departments at the College.

The Fairlawn Foundation seeks to provide financial support in the areas of medical and allied health services, widely supporting the education of Worcester area residents in health-related fields.

An official unveiling and dedication of the renovated classroom will take place on at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, beginning in Room 107-A.  Pat Creelman, Director of Nurse Education, will present a plaque dedicating the lab to the Fairlawn Foundation.
