QCC Awarded $735,000 Workforce Training Grant

WORCESTER, MA—July 11, 2022 — Today, Quinsigamond Community College was awarded a $735,000 workforce training grant from the Baker-Polito Administration. A total of $15 million in workforce training grants were awarded to the Commonwealth’s 15 community colleges in support of the creation and expansion of training programs in high-demand industries, such healthcare, education, manufacturing, information technology and cybersecurity.

QCC’s Respiratory Care Program Breathes Life into the Community

WORCESTER, MA— June 27, 2022—  Quinsigamond Community College’s Respiratory Care Program has received the Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialing Success Award from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) for the second consecutive year. The College has once again joined a select group of programs that received this national recognition based on a high-level performance of key accreditation metrics.

QCC Announces Spring 2022 Semester Dean and Merit Lists

WORCESTER, MA— June 6, 2022— Quinsigamond Community College has released its Spring 2022 Semester Dean and Merit Lists. A total of 435 students were named to the College’s Dean’s List and 834 students were named to the Merit List.

Students who meet the criteria below and have earned 12 or more credits in a given semester are named to the Dean’s List:  

FHFA Inspector General Espouses the Power of a Degree at Quinsigamond Community College’s 57th Commencement Ceremony

 

WORCESTER, MA—May 23, 2022— Quinsigamond Community College’s keynote speaker Brian M. Tomney addressed the College’s 1,358 graduates at its 2022 Commencement ceremony, held at the DCU Center in Worcester on May 20, 2022. Mr. Tomney was nominated by President Joe Biden and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as Inspector General for the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) earlier this year.

QCC Hosted Its Third Virtual Legislative Town Hall

WORCESTER, MA— May 16, 2022— Administrators, students and staff from Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) recently gathered with area legislators for the third virtual Legislative Town Hall, to showcase the innovative programs and community impact that QCC has provided to its students and the region. Moderated by Student Government Association President Shauna Connelly, the Town Hall focused on increased supports for students and a new programs designed to encourage and support more people to enter the biomanufacturing industry pipeline.

QCC to Hold 2022 Commencement Ceremony In-Person

WORCESTER, MA— April 11, 2022 —Quinsigamond Community College will hold its 2022 Commencement Ceremony at the DCU Center in Worcester on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. This will be the first time QCC has held its commencement in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.
