QCC Conducting Test of Emergency Notification System

Worcester, MA – April 25, 2013 – QCC will conduct a test of its emergency siren and public address system tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. 

Neighbors of the College should be aware that the test will be very loud and will be heard throughout the campus and within a radius of two square miles for approximately fifteen minutes. In addition to the siren, there will also be a voice message indicating that this is a test of the system.

Iraqi Educator Group Visits United States; QCC Hosts Campus Tour

Worcester, MA – October 15, 2013 – Early in September, QCC hosted a group of eleven Iraqi College Administrators and Educators at 670 West Boylston Street in Worcester. The visitors were invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and co-sponsored by the International Center of Worcester (ICW). Kathy Rentsch, Dean of QCC’s School of Business, Engineering, and Technology facilitated the visit in conjunction with ICW’s Executive Director, Royce Anderson.

QCC Board Votes on Downtown Expansion

The Quinsigamond Community College Board of Trustees unanimously approved a ‘FY 13 budget that supports expansion of its Health Care and Workforce Development programs into downtown Worcester. Ron Josephson, Chair of the Board said, “It is the Board’s responsibility and privilege to support this initiative and we wholeheartedly do. The need for more space and state-of the-art facilities has been uppermost in our minds for some time now and we’re pleased that we’re able to proceed with this important expansion.”
