The Math Center is offering remote tutoring and services

A Mathematics Learning Space
The Math Center is a welcoming and supportive learning space, whether we work in the center, or remotely online. It provides math resources and free, drop-in, one-on-one and small group tutoring for currently enrolled QCC students.

  • Students at all levels of math can work with tutors and peers
  • Come to a remote session and work on your homework, then ask a tutor for assistance when you have a question
  • Meet your classmates in a remote tutoring session and a tutor can work with your group
  • Let the tutor know your name, student ID, and course  when you visit

The goal of tutoring is to help students strengthen math and study skills by reinforcing classroom and online learning. Part of being a successful math student is utilizing course resources, such as reading the textbook or e-book to review examples and reinforce math vocabulary, watching videos, reviewing notes, and doing math by working on assignments.

QCC math tutors can assist with exercise sets and examples from course e-texts (the electronic version of the textbook) and with similar questions from MyLab Math, Connect, and WebAssign homework assignments. Tutors can also help you navigate the course website, e-text, videos, and Blackboard. During final exam week they will assist with odd numbered questions from the e-texts and final exam practice material from your instructor. For technical help, including with Blackboard, click here for the QCC Help Desk
