Hiring Process
The Human Resources Office posts job opportunities on the college website as they become available. For most positions, all job seekers must apply online through our website, in order to be considered for available openings, and applicants may apply for a position as long as the position remains open and posted on the college website.
Our selection process generally involves 3 stages for non-Executive level positions:
- A screening committee of 5 to 6 (or more) employees representing all campus constituencies, reviews the resumes of all minimally qualified applicants, and invites the most qualified applicants for an interview with that screening committee.
- Once all screening interviews have been completed, the screening committee deliberates and recommends finalists to the hiring manager for an interview.
- The hiring manager meets with the finalists and then makes a recommendation to the President.
The time involved for completing the hiring process, from the submission of an application to the hiring of a final candidate, can vary based upon such factors as the length of time that a position is posted, the strength of the pool of applicants, the number of resumes to review, budgetary considerations, and the time constraints of members of the screening committee and hiring manager. The screening committee will not begin reviewing resumes until after the job posting closes. As such, in general, the entire process will minimally require approximately 3-4 weeks from the date on which the posting closes.
Effective January 2022, Quinsigamond Community College will require all students, faculty and staff to be full vaccinated. Visit the Healthy Safe Campus for more information.
