Join us for a live demo of FunctionalMe, a prototype app designed to help people make decisions and manage their energy more effectively.
Created by QCC student Amy Coleman, FunctionalMe draws on harm-reduction principles, cognitive and behavioral psychology, and systems modeling to help users estimate their capacity and adjust daily self-care routines as their capacity shifts throughout the day. You’ll also get a look at upcoming machine-learning features that can learn from user behavior to predict when someone might need extra support by analyzing changes in phone use, pain levels, and mood.
About the presenter: Amy Coleman is a member of Psi Beta at Quinsigamond Community College, where she’s completing a degree in Human Services. A former marketing exec and software engineer, she’s pivoting into a career in social work, public health, and research. After a brain aneurysm affected her executive functioning, she built FunctionalMe to support her recovery and help others.
