Meet the Coach

Ryan Brown

Ryan Brown

Men’s Head Basketball Coach

Ryan Brown, a 2007 graduate of Holy Name High School, brings a lifelong passion for basketball, leadership, and community engagement to his role as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Quinsigamond Community College, a position he proudly accepted in April 2025.

A standout student-athlete at Holy Name, Brown was a four-year honor roll student and a 1,000-point scorer on the basketball court. He earned back-to-back T&G Super Team honors and played a pivotal role in leading the Naps to consecutive Division 1 state final appearances. In addition to basketball, he was a member of two Division 2 Super Bowl-winning football teams and also played baseball—exemplifying his all-around athleticism and competitive spirit.

Brown went on to play collegiate basketball at Anna Maria College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a degree in management engineering. Off the court, he serves as a transportation industry analyst at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Before joining QCC, Brown coached for four impactful years at Assabet Valley High School, building strong, disciplined teams and guiding student-athletes in both sport and life. Prior to that, he served as a varsity assistant coach at Saint Paul’s (formerly Holy Name) for three seasons and at Worcester North High School for three seasons, gaining valuable experience across different programs.

In 2018, Brown founded Go Hard or Stay Home (GHOSH), a grassroots basketball program based in Worcester focused on skill development, mentorship, and life preparation. Since then, GHOSH has grown into a respected and influential youth program that has impacted hundreds of athletes.

In 2025, he launched Lady GHOSH, an AAU program committed to empowering young women through basketball and personal growth.

Deeply connected to the Worcester community, Brown continues to lead with passion, integrity, and a commitment to developing the next generation of student-athletes on and off the court.
