Programming at Great Brook Valley

Thank you for your interest in the Adult Community Learning Center’s programming with the Worcester Housing Authority in Great Brook Valley. These specific classes are only available to Great Brook Valley residents. We offer the ESOL beginner level at GBV. For intermediate and Advanced class, view our offerings at our 25 Federal St. Downtown Worcester location. 

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

  • Free English classes for adult learners whose native language is not English
  • Course covers reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar and conversation
  • Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in person at 35 Freedom Way.

HiSET/GED Preparation

  • Free classes to prepare you for your high-school equivalency exam
  • Course covers reading, writing, science, social studies and math
  • Classes are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at 35 Freedom Way.
  • To apply, complete the HiSET/GED Preparation Application​
