Bridges to College (BTC)

QCC’s Bridges to College, is a FREE summer program for students who are interested in enrolling at QCC and want to get a jump start on preparing for college classes. Students may choose to participate in one or both of the in-person, noncredit Math and English Seminars. Students may also elect to take the two-week online Reading/Writing Connections course. All books, computer access codes, and supplies are FREE and will be provided by Quinsigamond Community College to each student in the program.
Write Your Life – English Seminar
In this seminar, students will develop their own personal guidebooks. Along the way, they will read on the writing life and develop their own short, personal essays as the foundation for their guidebooks.
Practical Math – Math Seminar
The math seminar is designed to prepare students for college-level Math while learning daily, practical applications. This Math Seminar includes high-quality faculty guidance, individualized instruction, peer-to-peer learning, and state-of-the-art technology.
English Boot Camp – Reading & Writing
This ultra-compressed, 40-hour, two-week, online program using adaptive technology will increase students’ reading and writing skills, and prepare them to enter college-level English in the fall semester.

Lunch will be provided for students participating in both seminars, or enrolled in the full-day Reading/Writing Connection. All books, computer access codes, and supplies will be provided at no cost by Quinsigamond Community College to each student in the program.
