Last month Elm Electrical made a generous donation of food and personal care products to QCC's HomePlate Food Pantry & Resource Center. Donations like these make a tangible difference for QCC students facing food insecurity as they pursue their educations.

"We are more than happy to do it and plan to do it a few times a year," said Holly Lurgio, of Elm Electrical. "It was actually the idea of one of our employees to leave a collection box out at all the time at our offices. We will focus our collections on different groups every six weeks or so."

With offices in Westfield, Marlborough and Middletown, CT, Elm Electrical is well-positioned to lend a hand to those in need across the region.

"We want to be sure we are offering support in the communities we serve, so we plan to do collections year-round for Westfield State University, Quinsigamond Community College and Middlesex Community College in Connecticut to help out those who could use a little extra help while they're attending school," Lurgio added.
