Since QCC sailed past the most recent enrollment goal, it’s time to celebrate! VP for Strategic Enrollment & Student Engagement, Michelle Tufau Afriyie, often emphasizes the importance of rowing in the same direction and that is just what our crew has done. Come recognize our accomplishments with bingo, prizes and refreshments from Gerardo's Italian Bakery.

 

Landmark Civil Rights Legislation of the Mid 1960s

February 23 | 7:00 p.m. | Northborough Historical Society, 52 Main Street, Northborough

Adjunct Instructor of History Mark Bashour will present on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These key events in the Civil Rights movement led to major changes in American society. The talk will address protest marches, bus boycotts, and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and President Lyndon B. Johnson, who were crucial in passing this legislation. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Employee Appreciation Event & Service Awards

Roll out the red carpet and get ready for a blockbuster celebration! In honor of Employee Appreciation Day, the Staff Development Committee invites all employees to a movie matinee on Friday, March 1. Stop by for an afternoon of entertainment, camaraderie, and gratitude as we celebrate the incredible dedication and commitment within our QCC Community.

 

Burnout Prevention & Recovery

March 21 | 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. | HLC 109A&B

Award-winning speaker Maria Milagros returns to campus with a new professional development workshop that will use stories and data-driven techniques to bring participants back to building a strong foundation to re-calibrate their nervous system and thrive in their decision making and lives. Attendees will walk away equipped to take control of their current condition, whether recovering from or preventing burnout.
