Career and Transfer Workshop

February 21 and 22 | 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. | Student Support and Mentoring Center (B61A) 

This event will familiarize students with the transfer process and the Career Services Center. Career and Transfer Counselor Oscar Chavez will be on hand to help students with resume design, self-branding, networking and college transfers. Lunch will be provided!

Housing Help

LUK, Inc. will be on campus to help students under the age of 25 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. These sessions will assist with navigating emergency shelters, long-term housing, counseling, food stamps, job support and more. This event is sponsored by the HomePlate Food Pantry & Resource Center.

Landmark Civil Rights Legislation of the Mid 1960s

February 23 | 7:00 p.m. | Northborough Historical Society, 52 Main Street, Northborough

Adjunct Instructor of History Mark Bashour will present on the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. These key events in the Civil Rights movement led to major changes in American society. The talk will address protest marches, bus boycotts, and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and President Lyndon B. Johnson, who were crucial in passing this legislation. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Apex Trip

Student Life is offering $25 tickets to Apex Entertainment. This action-packed trip will features bowling, laser tag, arcade games and food. Transportation is included!
