Reinventing the Dining Experience

September 2023
  • QCC Food Services

Going to grab a bite at QCC’s cafeteria and café may have a new look and feel but have no fear, it’s a change that makes food and drink options available anytime the college is open. This new self-service/vending machine dining model is filled with fresh food and drinks so that the QCC community has food options available, regardless of the hour.

This new dining model also includes a partnership with Worcester Regional Food Hub through weekly food vendor pop ups. Each week (beginning the week of September 11 – September 14, from 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) local vendors will come to the cafeteria in the Administration Building with diverse cuisine for breakfast and lunch. Many of the vendors are QCC alumni themselves, making this partnership extra special for our college community.

Creedon and Company, a local vendor, will be operating and overseeing the self-service vending machines to ensure the machines are continually filled and the food is fresh.

On Tuesday, September 5, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Creedon and Company will be in the Quad area on the main campus (670 West Boylston Street) offering sample bites for staff and faculty during the QCC Family cookout. This is a great way to have some tasty treats and sample the new foods.

Students will have their own tasting on Wednesday, September 6, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Wyvern Welcome Information Tent across from the grotto on the 670 West Boylston Street campus, offering free sample bites for students. This is a great way to have some tasty treats and sample the new foods.

Creedon and Company will also act as QCC’s preferred vendor moving forward for catering events costing over $200. If Creedon does not fit a department’s catering needs, a local food vendor that offers catering services may be procured, or the process to onboard a new vendor may be started by asking them to complete a QCC New Vendor Set Up Form.
