The TRIO Student Support Services STEM–Health Sciences Program supports health sciences students in graduating from QCC and continuing on to a college or university of their choice. Services include academic counseling, career planning, cultural activities, tutoring, and financial aid and scholarship planning. TRIO Student Support Services is a federally funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.
Requirements
To qualify, a student must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, be highly motivated to graduate, be a Healthcare focused student, and meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Be a first-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor’s degree)
- Meet federal low-income eligibility
- Have a documented disability

- Career Planning – Select an appropriate program of study and explore career goals.

- Educational Access – Coordinate resources and accommodations related to documented disabilities.

Please note: Applications are accepted throughout the year; however, acceptance into the program is each fall semester only. All applicants will be placed on a waiting list and notified when a slot becomes available.
