QCC will celebrate the history and legacy of its athletics program with the inaugural Alumni Athletics Hall of Fame Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the 670 West Boylston Street campus.

The QCC Alumni Athletics Hall of Fame was established to recognize former student athletes, coaches, teams and supporters whose achievements and service have made significant contributions to Quinsigamond Community College Athletics and the broader college community.

"The Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame provides an opportunity to recognize the individuals and teams whose accomplishments have elevated QCC Athletics and strengthened our college community," said QCC President Dr. Luis Pedraja. "These honorees have left a lasting impact on our campus and exemplify the determination, excellence and perseverance that define the QCC spirit."

The inaugural Hall of Fame class includes the 2006-07 men's basketball team and former student-athletes Maurice "Mo" Horton, Rich Small and Trafficia Warburton.

The 2006-07 men's basketball team remains one of the most accomplished teams in QCC history. Despite competing with a nine-player roster, the team captured state and regional championships and advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Final Four, ultimately finishing fifth in the nation. The team was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.

Horton helped lead the 2006-07 team and remains the only player in program history to surpass 1,400 career points. He went on to play for Worcester State University and remains connected to local sports organizations through coaching and volunteerism.

Warburton remains one of the top-performing women’s basketball players at QCC. In her second season, she led the league in both scoring and rebounding. In addition to her stats, she was known as being incredibly hardworking on and off the court.

Small's connection to QCC Athletics has spanned decades. He was a member of the men's basketball program and later returned to support the program as a volleyball coach and mentor, helping develop future student athletes. Today, Small remains a dedicated athletics ambassador, promoting and documenting QCC sporting events through his photography and community engagement.

This event is free and open to the public with registration required. Spectrum NECN Sports Director Kevin Shea will serve as the emcee. Additional details and registration information are available on the Hall of Fame page.
