Inductees:

2006–07 Men’s Basketball Team 

The 2006–07 Quinsigamond Community College men’s basketball team is one of the most accomplished teams in school history. Despite having just an eight-player roster and no player taller than 6-foot-3, the team compiled a school-record 28–7 record, won State and Regional Championships, and advanced to the NJCAA Division III Final Four, finishing fifth in the nation. 

In recognition of their achievements, the team was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. 

As QCC launches its inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame, this remarkable team is a deserving member of the inaugural class, having set a standard of excellence that remains unmatched nearly two decades later. 

Maurice Horton 

Maurice “Mo” Horton is one of the most accomplished student athletes in Quinsigamond Community College basketball history. A key leader of the historic 2006–07 men’s basketball team, Horton helped guide the program to a school-record 28–7 season, State and Regional Championships, and a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.  

Horton's individual accomplishments are equally remarkable. He remains the only men's basketball player in QCC history to score 1,406 career points, with 673 rebounds, milestones that reflects both his talent and consistency throughout his collegiate career at QCC. 

Beyond his achievements on the court, Horton has remained a respected member of the Worcester community, demonstrating the leadership, perseverance, and character that embody the values of Quinsigamond Community College. His lasting impact on the basketball program and the college makes him a deserving member of the QCC Athletics Hall of Fame's inaugural class. 

Rich Small ’05 

A former member of the Quinsigamond Community College men’s basketball program, Rich Small made a meaningful impact on the court, averaging 8 points per game during his playing career at QCC. After graduating in 2005, he continued to give back to the program as a coach and mentor, helping to support the development of future student-athletes. 

Rich’s commitment to QCC Athletics has never wavered. Today, he remains one of the program’s most dedicated supporters, regularly promoting and documenting QCC athletic events through his photography and community involvement. His lifelong connection to the college, from player to coach to ambassador, reflects the pride, loyalty, and service that define the Quinsigamond Community College Athletics Hall of Fame. 

Trafficia Warburton

Trafficia Warburton was one of the most dominant players in Quinsigamond Community College women’s basketball history. In her second season, she led the league in both scoring and rebounding, establishing herself as an elite performer and a force on both ends of the court. 

Her ability to consistently impact the game through her scoring, toughness, and relentless work on the boards helped elevate the QCC women’s basketball program and set a standard of excellence for future generations of student-athletes. Trafficia’s outstanding accomplishments and lasting impact make her a deserving member of the Quinsigamond Community College Athletics Hall of Fame.
