The QCC Foundation has welcomed a QCC graduate, Joshua Duhamel, as its newest member.

WORCESTER, MA – September 28, 2026 – The Quinsigamond Community College Foundation (QCCF) recently welcomed Joshua Duhamel, a QCC alum and public service professional, to its Board of Directors.

Duhamel brings extensive experience in municipal government, legislative affairs, strategic communications and community engagement. He currently serves as Chief of Staff for the Worcester City Council, where he directs operations, policy development, constituent services and outreach efforts while serving as a liaison among city departments, elected officials and community stakeholders.

His appointment reflects the Foundation's desire to bring a range of perspectives and experiences from the Greater Worcester community to its Board. As a Quinsigamond Community College alum and a leader in local government, Duhamel offers insight into the needs and opportunities of the region.

After transferring from QCC, Duhamel continued his education at Worcester State University, earning a bachelor's degree in history and political science. His career has included service with the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where he served as an aide and later as director of constituent services, helping advance legislative priorities, assist constituents, and secure state funding for communities across the region. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to building partnerships and advancing initiatives that strengthen educational access, economic opportunity and civic engagement.

“QCC serves people at many different starting points: students beginning college, adults returning to school and neighbors preparing for a new career,” said QCCF President Jorgo Gushi. “What makes the College so important to Central Massachusetts is what happens next. Its alumni carry their education into our workplaces, neighborhoods and civic life. Joshua’s path from QCC to public service in Worcester reflects that lasting impact, and I’m glad he is bringing his experience back to the Foundation Board.”

For Duhamel, joining the Foundation Board represents an opportunity to give back to the institution that helped launch his academic and professional journey.

“QCC provided an important foundation for my education and career,” said Duhamel. “I am honored to serve on the Foundation Board and support the College's mission of creating opportunities for students from all backgrounds. As Worcester continues to grow and evolve, it is important that institutions like QCC remain accessible, responsive and connected to the communities they serve.”

The QCC Foundation Board of Directors provides leadership, advocacy and philanthropic support to advance student success and strengthen the College's impact throughout the region.
