Program Goals:
The Supply Chain Management Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in the fields of transportation, distribution/warehousing, inventory, and purchasing. Students will gain an understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as the communication, analytical, and managerial skills necessary to be successful in a variety of business environments. Students also build a foundation of core supply chain management knowledge that is strategically designed to articulate seamlessly into either the Business Administration Transfer (BT) or the Business Administration Career (BB) associate degree programs for further advanced study.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Understand the key functional areas of logistics, including transportation, distribution, warehousing, inventory management, and purchasing, and how they interact within the overall supply chain.
- Analyze the impact of domestic and global macroeconomic factors (e.g., trade, inflation, and market volatility) on supply chain strategy and risk management.
- Create effective business communications, including letters, proposals, e-mails, etc., as well as prepare and deliver impactful oral presentations.
- Apply hands-on experience in word processing, spreadsheet analysis, and database management to the logistics and supply chain activities of a business.
- Apply quantitative methods and data analysis to measure, benchmark, and improve the efficiency and resilience of supply chain operations.
- Lead group activities, organize discussions, and apply interpersonal skills to a variety of business situations.

Program Admissions Requirements:
Students should note that some first semester courses carry minimum prerequisites. Refer to the program grid.

CORI, SORI, Finger Printing & Drug Testing:
Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) checks are not required. Fingerprinting and drug testing are not required.

Credit for Prior Learning:
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) allows students to use skills they already have towards a college degree or certificate. Work, life, volunteer and military experience may be translated into credit, allowing students to take fewer classes and earn their degree faster. CPL eliminates redundancies for students who have already earned credentials or mastered skills required for their program of study.
