How did QCC impact your journey?

I had previously attended another university out of state prior to QCC, but circumstances had me return home to Worcester to regroup. QCC was a place where I got my bearings under me. I grew not only personally but academically as well. My younger brother Johnny played two years of basketball for QCC.

What are you currently doing?

I am currently a freelance photographer in the greater Boston area. Since graduating from QCC, I have photographed projects for Converse, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and Puma. I am a two-time recipient of the Key to the City of Worcester. Recently, I participated in a group show at the Fitchburg Art Museum and Holy Cross. When I am not working, I love to play basketball, soccer, go for runs, and see live music/events with my friends.

What advice would you give to current students and fellow alumni?

My advice is to make a conscious effort to seek out community on campus. It is tempting to be in a rush to leave as soon as classes are finished and avoid social interactions. I found that taking the time to befriend classmates, faculty, etc. led me to form memorable bonds that I cherish to this day and helped me to be able to seek out life/school advice whenever I was in need to help make my QCC experience a smooth ride for me.
