QCC recognized its exemplary students last month at the 2026 Honors & Awards Ceremony. Proud loved ones cheered on veterans, departmental award recipients, and those who received special memorial and service awards.
Students were also recognized for their participation in QCC's honors organizations: Commonwealth Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and Psi Beta Honor Society.
"To the recipients, you have contributed to something bigger than yourself and in doing so have helped define what it means to be a QCC student. We can't wait to see what you do next," said Vice President of Strategic Enrollment & Student Engagement Michelle Tufau.
Special awards included:
- Student Athlete of the Year - Morgan Jarret and Peter Casine
- Outstanding Student Leader Award - Paige Turcotte
- Wyvern Award - Allison Castaneda and Eli Tripp
- James H. Harrington Outstanding Student Citizen Award - SantaMaria Sessarego
"Community colleges are some of the best students in the world, so we're here because we're honoring the best of the best," said QCC President Dr. Luis Pedraja. "I also want to congratulate the family and friends who are here. I know you've been there supporting them along the way."
