The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society chapter at QCC recently earned international and regional awards, including being placed in the top 10% of chapters worldwide.
At the international level, QCC’s Alpha Zeta Theta chapter was named a Top 100 Chapter, an honor based on equally weighted scores from PTK’s Honors in Action and College Project initiatives. With close to 1,250 active PTK chapters globally, QCC’s recognition reflects the chapter’s academic integrity, leadership and community engagement.
“I am so proud of the work our PTK officers put in this year,” said Program Coordinator of PTK Lizette Reid. “They worked hard, formed strong bonds and made a huge impact on campus.”
QCC’s PTK chapter also earned designation as a REACH Rewards Chapter, recognizing its success in inviting, engaging and following up with eligible students. The chapter increased membership growth by more than 45%, exceeding national benchmarks for student engagement and outreach.
In addition, the chapter received multiple awards at the 2026 Phi Theta Kappa New England Regional Convention, including:
- First Place Honors in Action Distinguished Theme Award, honoring the highest-scoring project related to the 2024–2025 Honors Study Topic, The Power of Stories
