Quinsigamond Community College proudly welcomed 22 new members into the Psi Beta National Honor Society during the Fall 2025 induction ceremony, marking one of the largest induction groups in the chapter’s history. The event highlighted not only the academic excellence of QCC students, but also the enthusiasm for psychology on campus.
This year’s milestone was made possible in part through the generosity of the Psychology Department, which provided scholarships to cover the $55 induction fee for many students. Because Psi Beta is open to students in all majors, the support helped broaden access within the organization.
Psi Beta members engage in a wide range of activities, from participating in national research studies to presenting at professional conferences. Each year, the chapter participates in a national Psi Beta research project, with data collected from colleges across the country. All QCC students are welcome to participate, and many faculty offer extra credit as an added incentive. Students interested in assisting with data evaluation as research associates are encouraged to contact Professor of Psychology Dr. Eric Mania at emania@qcc.mass.edu.
QCC’s chapter continues to shine on the national stage. Several students are preparing to present their work at the Eastern Psychological Association Annual Meeting in March. Even more remarkable, this year’s national research study was developed at the college by Mania and QCC students, and selected by Psi Beta’s national organization for implementation across the country.
