The Center for Workforce Development & Continuing Education will explain how area companies can fulfill their training needs through innovative, high-quality programs at Quinsigamond Community College while utilizing the Workforce Training Fund Grant Program. The session will discuss the value of training, the details of the grant program and assistance with the application process.

Rediscovering an American Community of Color - Thursday, February 23, Photos on display February 2 - March 3 | HLC 109

A local historian will speak about the over 200 photographs Worcester resident Will Bullard took of local African American and Native American neighbors. These portraits offer a photographic narrative of migration and resettlement in the aftermath of Emancipation and Reconstruction and address themes that remain relevant today, notably, the story of people of color claiming their rightful place in society, as well as the fundamentally American story of migration, immigration, and creating community in new surroundings.

Access to mental health care remains too limited. Smartphones and apps offer unique tools to change that. But what do we really know about how smartphone data and apps can help people with mental health conditions? This talk will discuss new types of digital data that can help with diagnosis, examples of how apps can be used in care, and explore the pros and cons of commercially available apps you can download today.

White Ribbon day is a national event that encourages men to pledge to engage together in the work to end gender-based violence. We are happy to welcome our own Good Guy's and staff from the YWCA in educating the college community about this issue and encouraging us to work to end this issue.

QCC Employee Spring Into Wellness Day - Friday, March 3, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m in the Athletic Center

This event will focus on mental health resources and offer interactive sessions such as yoga, massage therapy and mindful meditation. There will also be a service awards ceremony and refreshments.

50/50 Raffle for the Psychology Club - February 6 - March 6

Tickets are $2 each and the winner will receive 50% of ticket sales with the other 50% supporting the Psychology Club. The winner will be announced March 10. Contact Valerie Clemente at vclemente@qcc.mass.edu to purchase tickets. The winner will be paid by check and have to supply the QCC Business Office with their social security number.
