Alexander Riopel, President

I am running for the President position of our honor society because I believe I can lead this group to success. Every person who has gained acceptance into this prestigious group has the ability to make a difference on campus and that’s why I am excited to be faced with the opportunity to help us all fulfill our potential. This group of people is one of the most special on our campus and it is important to me to make sure we are each heading in the right directions. If I was elected President, I would have the honor of making choices in the interest of everyone in this group. As one of your fellow classmates, I best understand all of our wants and needs and can use that knowledge to advance our educational experience. I have been a member of Saint Columba parish my entire life and have always been involved with their community service. Through this connection I will be able to grant new community service opportunities and provide different ways to earn your gold stole. Since we do not get much funding from the school, fundraisers are what makes this club run smoothly. I can’t wait for the warm weather that comes with springtime, and I would like to have a barbeque for all of us as our fundraiser. I’ll be outside grilling for you all as well as playing lawn games like spikeball and cornhole. I hope that you all are excited about these upcoming opportunities, and recognize how much I care about this community and want to help us succeed.

Tabitha Leber, Vice President of Leadership

My name is Tabitha Leber and I am passionate about the work Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Zeta Theta chapter does not only on the QCC campus but also out in our local communities. Becoming a member of this prestigious organization has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I am a highly motivated, hardworking and organized individual. My work ethic, communications skills and problem resolution skills have been honed through years of dedicated hard work. I can work with anyone to get the job done. I believe that I have the leadership skills to lift up and support all members of our chapter.

Yash Batra, Vice President of Scholarship

would like to hold this position because, simply put, I am infatuated with academia. I am an academic, I thrive in that environment; now, I would like to help others on their pursuit for success. I feel that I am qualified for this position as I have a great deal of experience leading people. For example, this current semester, I am the Vice President of Psi Beta and Psychology Club. Last semester, I was the treasurer for Psi Beta. In addition to that, I held various positions over the last two years, during my freshman and sophomore years of highs school. Just to name a few, secretary of rocketry club, project manager of robotics team, head graphic designer of robotics team, key club member at large, etc. I don’t intentionally mean to vomit out a myriad of arbitrary qualifications. The point I am trying to convey is that I have experience. I know what it takes to lead, what it takes to be successful, and I want to help my community more than anything else.

Tymannie Isales-Santos (Ty), Recording Secretary

My name is Tymannie Isales but everyone knows me as Ty. I am a second semester student majoring in Interactive Media Design and the position I will be running for is the role of Recording Secretary. I believe as your secretary, I will keep track of the major and minor points of every meeting. Listening to what students and community are saying and responding with feedback. I am organized and very detail oriented. I am an honest person, full of integrity and hope, and also someone who takes care of the tasks handed to me. Many believe that the role of being a Secretary is just doing the typing but it is so much more. I am running because I want our projects to be successful and I want to give my greatest contribution to have them so. I believe that I have the skills to become the nest secretary and person that I can be. Being a secretary is also putting input in some of the “impossible” projects and making them “possible”. I am very shy and introverted but when I am around a group of people that I look up to and are comfortable, I become more carefree and outspoken. That’s what I am aiming for as the position of becoming Phi Theta Kappa’s Secretary.

Kristen M Peters, Treasurer

I am a hard-working, dedicated individual that enjoys life’s challenges. I am an amenable person that can adapt to any situation. I don’t mind working as a team or independently. I understand the important work that Phi Theta Kappa does in our community. I am committed to accepting the challenges. I believe the challenges PTK has already sent my way has helped me personally to bring out the leader in me. I would love to hold this position and continue to serve and grow under the wings of Alpha Zeta Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.

Armela Xhindole, Officer at Large

I would like to hold this office because I am fully committed as a member of Phi Theta Kappa and I have what is required for the position of officer at large. I understand all the roles and I will be able to cover other positions when required. I am extremely dedicated and motivated, my 3.95 GPA is a testament to that. I have worked as a travel agent for “Go travel Albania” and I was acting manager when the travel agency manager was not in office. I have gained leadership experience and I am not afraid to take on responsibility. I believe being officer at lager will expand my inner growth horizon and help me become more confident.

Cynthia Ramirez – Officer at Large

I would like to hold this office because I believe that it will provide me with team building skills. I think it will also give me the opportunity to acquaint myself with my fellow PTK members and build relationships. I have clear communication skills and a positive attitude which I can apply towards being an officer at large for the PTK.

Sowmya Gontla – Officer at Large

I am interested in joining this team so that I can enhance my skills and demonstrate my management abilities. I am a good listener and a fast learner. I can take up any task and be responsible to take it to completion. I can follow orders assigned. I will be able to lead any initiative and be responsible for completion.

Tabitha Leber, Greenhouse Project Manager

My name is Tabitha Leber and I am running for the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Greenhouse Manager. I am passionate about the work Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Zeta Theta chapter does not only on the QCC campus but also out in our local communities especially in the Live and Learn Greenhouse. I would love to be able to implement the many ideas that I have to improve the Greenhouse while working with and blending ideas from the Greenhouse team.  Becoming a member of this prestigious organization has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I am a highly motivated, hardworking and organized individual. My work ethic, communications skills and problem resolution skills have been honed through years of dedicated hard work. I can work with anyone to get the job done. I believed that I have the leadership skills to lift up and support all members of our chapter
