Recruiting at QCC

More than 17,000 QCC graduates and alumni work and live in the Central Massachusetts area. From interactive media design to nurses and automotive technicians, they help make up the backbone of the region's workforce.

To help employers connect with current QCC students and alumni, the College offers a number of resources including an online job search database, Handshake, for on-campus recruiting activities, career fairs, and a cooperative education program.

Here are only a few reasons why you should consider hiring a QCC graduate:

Career Focused Academic Programs
The academic programs at QCC are centered on the skills that employers demand. We work closely with employers and our Program Advisory Committees to ensure that each program meets current workplace requirements.

Interactive Training
From the first day in class, students work on practical, real-world problems that are directly related to their eventual careers. Because of this, graduates are ready to make immediate and lasting contributions to their employers.

Motivated, Responsible Graduates
Many of our students support themselves financially while completing a certificate or associate's degree. They understand the value of personal responsibility through their experience managing classes, work, personal commitments, and co-curricular activities.

On-Campus Recruiting

Throughout the fall and spring semesters, employers can participate in QCC's on-campus recruiting program. This is a great opportunity for you to visit the campus and promote current job or co-op opportunities.

QCC can coordinate the entire process to make it an accessible and successful event at no cost to you.

Cooperative Education Program

The co-op program gives employers access to a talented and motivated pool of potential employees who have met specific academic criteria. Through the co-op program your company can hire a QCC student for a period of time equal to a semester (full-time, part-time, day, or evening) enabling the student to acquire on-the-job skills, gain credits toward their degree, while contributing to the workplace. At the end of the work period, you and the student can determine the appropriateness of a long-term or even permanent employment opportunity.
