QCC Welcomes New Faculty and Staff

We are very pleased to announce the following full-time staff updates:

On October 31, 2021 Strategic Enrollment Development & Student Engagement welcomed Olivia Nakato as Clerk III-  Student Accessibility Services Office. Olivia brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was a Peer Writing Tutor at QCC. Olivia earned an associate degree from QCC.

On November 1, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Julio Zayas as the Special Populations Navigator. Julio brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, he was the Reentry Program Coordinator (Special Program Coordinator) for College and Careers Pathways at QCC. Julio earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Colorado Technical University.

On November 7, 2021 Strategic Enrollment Development & Student Engagement welcomed Caryn Zelazo as the Assistant Director of First Year Experience Programming. Caryn brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was a Student Success Counselor at QCC. Caryn earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Springfield College.

On November 7, 2021 Strategic Enrollment Development & Student Engagement welcomed Amanda Kelly as Administrative Secretary I (Enrollment Management & Student Engagement).  Amanda brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was Medical Receptionist for Steward Health Care. Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts Lowell.

On November 7, 2021 Strategic Enrollment Development & Student Engagement welcomed Kristy Guzman as Clerk III- Financial Aid Office. Kristy brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was a Secretary for Oxford Middle School. Kristy earned an associate degree from QCC.

On November 7, 2021 Strategic Enrollment Development & Student Engagement welcomed Katelyn Hurley as Assistant Director of Student Life and Programming. Katelyn brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was Assistant Director of Student Life Operations for American International College. Kristy has earned a bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State University and a master’s degree from Merrimack College.

On November 14, 2021, Administrative Services welcomed Venus Twum as Accountant I- Student Accounts. Venus brings to this position several years of experience. Most recently, she was a Receiving Teller I at QCC. Venus earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
