Success at Super Saturday
QCC turned out in mass for the second Super Saturday registration event held on QCC's main campus Saturday, August 27, 2022. Students were able to apply, register, and receive help with advising, financial aid, information technology, take placement tests and a variety of student services that included getting their QCC I.D. and parking pass. Students also got to meet with athletic coaches to learn more about the college's sports teams, as well as tour the campus, learn about QCC's Food Pantry and Resource Center, Brothers and Keepers Program and TRIO Student Support Services. Additionally, there was a COVID-19 vaccination clinic held at the same time for the QCC community and the public, through a partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
President Dr. Luis G. Pedraja, along with QCC's vice presidents and deans, spent the morning meeting and greeting students and their families. The event was a huge success with over 225 students served.
"It was wonderful to see our college community come together to help our students. It was especially gratifying to meet students, prospective students and their families," said President Pedraja. "I look forward to more of these community registration events in the future."
