We are very pleased to announce the following full-time staff updates:
On August 8, 2021, Academic Affairs welcomed Gemma Goranson as Student Success Center Generalist. Gemma brings to this position over five years of experience. Most recently, she worked as an Academic Success Coordinator at Saint Peter Marian. Gemma earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University.
On August 8, 2021, Academic Affairs Shanan Stratis as Assistant Dean of the School of Healthcare. Shanan brings to this position over 23 years of experience. Most recently, she was Director of the Breakthrough Solution for Nursing (BSNEM) Program at QCC. Shanan earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University and a Master’s Degree from Western Governors University (WGU).
On August 15, 2021, Academic Affairs welcomed Geraldo Maldonado as Southbridge Site Leader. Geraldo brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, he was Project Manager for the Department of Housing, State of Connecticut, Geraldo is also an adjunct faculty at QCC. Geraldo earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University and an MBA from Anna Maria College.
On August 15, 2021, Administrative Services welcomed Edward Ramos as Campus Police Officer III- Sergeant. Edward brings to this position over 10 years of experience. Most recently, he was Campus Police Officer I at QCC. Edward has completed Intermittent Reserve Academy.
On August 15, 2021, Administrative Services welcomed Todd LaBranche as Campus Police Officer III- Sergeant. Todd brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, he was Campus Police Officer I at QCC. Todd has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Becker College.
On August 15, 2021, Enrollment Management & Student Engagement welcomed Buffie Whittaker as College and Career Navigator. Buffie brings to this position over 10 years of experience. Most recently, she was Recruitment Counselor at QCC. Buffie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University and a Master’s Degree from Boston University.
On August 22, 2021, Administrative Services welcomed Joseph Chunis as Maintainer I (2nd Shift). Joseph brings to this position a year of experience. Most recently, he was part-time Maintainer at QCC.
On August 25, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Kevin Li as Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs: Assessment, Curriculum Development and Academic Success. Kevin brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, he was Dean of Arts and Sciences at Triton College, in River Grove, Illinois. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Roosevelt University.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Jennifer McAndrew as Director of Advising. Jennifer brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, she was the Registrar at MassBay Community College. Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s Degree from University of New Hampshire and a Master’s degree from Salem State University.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Steven Gambino as Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Steven brings to this position 3 years of experience. Most recently, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Community College of Rhode Island. Steven earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of Hartford and a Master’s Degree from University of Rhode Island.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Eduardo Ramirez Martinez as Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Eduardo brings to this position over 5 years of experience. Most recently, he worked as a Mathematics Instructor at Fitchburg State University. Eduardo earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Sukhmani Pal as Assistant Professor of Psychology. Sukhmani brings to this position 2 years of experience. Most recently, she was a Teaching Instructor at University of Mississippi. Sukhmani earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Kamala Nehru College, a Master’s Degree from Christ University, and her Ph.D. from University of Mississippi.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Lynn Valeri as Assistant Professor of Nurse Education ADN Program. Lynn brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, she was a nursing Adjunct Faculty here at QCC. Lynn earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Fitchburg State University and a Master’s Degree from Sacred Heart University.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Ana Olivar as Associate Professor of Nurse Education ADN Program. Ana brings to this position over 15 years of experience. Most recently, she worked as Nursing Faculty at Blackstone Valley Technical School and also she was a nursing Adjunct Faculty at QCC. Ana earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Cebu City Medical Center- College of Nursing and a Master’s Degree from Walden University.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Meghan McCrillis as Professor of Nurse Education ADN Program. Meghan brings to this position over 10 years of experience. Most recently, she worked as a nursing Faculty at Assumption College and also she was a nursing Adjunct Faculty at QCC. Meghan earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University , a Master’s Degree from Walden University, and her PhD from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
On August 29, 2021 Academic Affairs welcomed Anianjolice Oquendo as Clerk IV- Early Childhood Education Lab School (ECE Lab School). Anianjolice brings to this position 7 years of experience. Most recently, she was Unit Secretary at UMass Memorial Medical. Anianjolice earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Anna Maria College.

Most recently, she was a Science Laboratory Technician here at QCC. Kimberly earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University.
