Best Back to School EVER!

WOW! We've missed you and we are very much looking forward to seeing your smiling faces on campus September 8! We have a lot of catching up to do. Whether you are starting college for the first time, going back after a long time, or are a second year student who hasn't actually been on campus, we are happy to have you here! Starting college can be an intimidating experience and after the year we have had, it may feel good to get out of the house, or for some it may be a little intimidating. If that's the way you feel, have no fear, QCC is here for you!

We know there's more to college than class and your life outside of class plays a big part in your college, campus and study experience. Below please find an easy guide to help you maneuver the first days and weeks of college to make going back to school a little bit easier.

In-Person Services: Join a line from anywhere!

In-person services are now available with a better way to wait in line! The new EZQ (Easy Queue) system allows you to get in line from anywhere so that you have more time to study, get to class, grab a coffee, visit with friends or soak up the sun. Don’t worry, you’ll receive wait time updates so you know when to visit the office for your meeting. Learn more here.

Safety First 

While we are excited to have you on campus, your safety and the safety of your classmates is paramount. We are currently requiring face coverings be worn while indoors for all main campus buildings and QCC locations. Learn how QCC is making this fall a Healthy and Safe Return to Campus. 

Bookstore

Back to school is a busy time and if you still need books or supplies, we highly recommend ordering them online. The bookstore capacity is limited to 30 people at once. If you order your class materials online, they will ship FREE to your home and save a trip to the bookstore when your books arrive. Appointments are required to go to the QCC Bookstore. You can make an appointment online with QCC's new "EZQ" system. 

Bookstore Hours:

• Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (Closed Labor Day, 9/6)
• Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday - Closed

Getting Hungry?

If carrying all of those books around is making you hungry, no worries, the Main Cafeteria (Basement, Administration Building) is back to regular hours beginning Wednesday, September 8. 

For the utmost safety, there will be a limited capacity in the cafeteria and people may experience some delays. We strongly recommend everyone picks up their food and takes it outdoors to eat. If you must eat indoors, we ask that you consider social distancing guidelines of 6 feet to protect yourself and those around you.

Main Cafeteria Hours Monday-Friday:

• Breakfast: 7:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
• Snacks & Beverages: 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
• Snacks & Beverages: 2:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

HLC Cafe Hours:

Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.
Fridays from 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Students experiencing food insecurity should know there is a food pantry available on campus for students, faculty and staff. The Homeplate Food Pantry and Resource Center is located in Room B63A, in the basement of the Administration Building. All information is confidential, and we ask that each new client fill out an application.

Student Life

The Fuller Student Center is a place to meet up with friends, study, play pool and even pet alpacas and dogs. What's new in the student center this year? QCC has a new Director of Student Life, Ashlee Givens! If you are looking to get involved on campus and join a club or participate in social activities, the Fuller Student Center is the place to get started. Download the QCC mobile app for access to grades, bus schedules, closings and more. When you have the QCC app, you will get college alerts and notifications right to your phone. We know it's still warm out, but admit it... you want to be the first to know about SNOW DAYS! Seriously though, you can also access the mobile version of the Q as well as your Qmail.
