Warming the Hearts of Those Who Served

QCC's Director of Veteran Affairs, Paula Ogden and her granddaugher Ashlyn McCarty deliver letters and cards to veterans at the Bristol Veterans Home.
The QCC Veterans Club recently dropped off cards and letters to veterans at the Bristol, Rhode Island Veterans Home. The card and letters were made by the third graders at Amvets School in North Attleboro. QCC’s Director of Veteran Affairs, Paula Ogden, coordinated the multi-generational project.
“QCC's Veterans Club members have dropped off similar messages to the veterans in honor of Veterans Day. These cards and letters bring a lot of joy to our veterans and is something they look forward to receiving,” Ms. Ogden said.
The Veterans Club provides military veterans, their family members and active duty military with support, advocacy and resources to aid in their successful transition to life as a student. The Veterans Club is a member of the Student Veterans of America (SVA), a national organization.
