QCC to Host 2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony

WORCESTER, MA— May 17, 2021 —  Quinsigamond Community College will hold its Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2021 virtually on Friday, May 21 at 1:00 p.m.

“We are excited to welcome an impressive group of graduates to our ever-growing alumni ranks, which are now over 34,000 strong,” said QCC President Luis G. Pedraja, Ph.D. “These graduates have shown just what it takes to live through a global pandemic and come out stronger and more prepared to enter the workforce or continue their education at a four-year college or university.”

QCC’s 2021 Commencement Speaker is nationally recognized scholar Maya Rockeymoore-Cummings, Ph.D., a champion of social justice causes such as health equity, protection of social entitlement programs, income security, diversity and inclusion, and civil rights.  She is the President and CEO of Global Policy Solutions, a Washington, D.C. based-firm that makes policy work for people and their environments.

“Dr. Rockeymoore-Cummings is the perfect speaker to inspire our students to enter the world and reach new heights of greatness,” President Pedraja said. 

Commissioner of Higher Education for Massachusetts, Carlos E. Santiago, will also be offering his greetings and congratulations to the graduates. To view the ceremony on May 21 at 1:00 p.m., visit www.QCC.edu/commencement-2021. The ceremony can also be viewed on public access station WCCA-TV 194.
