WORCESTER, MA—November 24, 2020 — Snow, sleet, rain and even a pandemic won’t stop Quinsigamond Community College’s Campus Police from hosting its annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event. Each year campus police collect new, unwrapped toys that go directly to QCC students and their families who need a little help during the holiday season.

This year, donations can be dropped off on Tuesday, December 1, and Thursday, December 3, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at QCC’s main campus at the flagpoles, 670 West Boylston Street, Worcester.  QCC’s Blue Santa, more commonly known as Police Captain Joseph Cecchi, will be on hand both days to accept donations and bring a bit of holiday cheer to the folks who stop by to help fill the cruiser. Campus Police want to remind everyone that masks must be worn at all times while on campus.

“Every year we try to bring some joy into the lives of our students who may be experiencing additional hardship during the holiday season. This year, the pandemic is making life even more challenging for our students and we want them to know we are still here for them and their children,” said QCC Campus Police Chief Kevin Ritacco.

Donations will also be accepted at the QCC Campus Police Station (670 West Boylston Street, Worcester) or by mail: “Blue Santa” 670 West Boylston St. Worcester, MA 01606.

“We hope our community will once again make the holidays a bit brighter for our students and their families, who have worked through adversities this year with such determination and heart,” said QCC President Dr. Luis Pedraja.
