WORCESTER, MA— December 11, 2018— Quinsigamond Community College will do a test of its campus-wide emergency alert notification system, which includes the outdoor siren alert, on Tuesday, December 13 at 10:00 a.m. Those in the immediate neighborhood of QCC may hear the siren.

“All of the functions will be tested at the same time,” said QCC Chief of Police Kevin Ritacco. “We test our ‘QCC Alert’ system yearly.”

The siren will sound for about 10 seconds followed by a pre-recorded message, which can be heard across the college’s main campus at 670 West Boylston Street, Worcester. In the event of an actual emergency, the siren will be followed by appropriate instructions.
