Worcester, MA – In a national dance competition sponsored by the Quaker Oats Company, QCC freshman business student, Daniel Pace, won $50,000 today. Five top finalists from across the country performed their 30 second dance routines live in front of three judges on the “Live with Regis and Kelly” show, Monday, October 6.

Encouraged by his mother, Robin, Pace submitted a video of his dance in August. He was notified last week of being one of the top 10 finalists that would be judged by the general public. By the end of the day on October 2, the votes were in, and Pace moved to one of the top five slots.

A panel of three judges watched the top five perform live this morning on ABC and declared Pace the $50,000 winner. The 18 year old freshman has been dancing since age 11.
