QCC Offers FREE Flu Clinic in Conjunction with VNA of Central Mass WORCESTER, Ma — Quinsigamond Community College’s Nursing students, in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Massachusetts (VNA), will host a free flu clinic for the public, including students, senior citizens, high risk population, those with chronic health problems, and health care workers.

Flu shots will be given for free on Saturday, December 1, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  The clinic will be held on the QCC campus in the Harrington Learning Center, room 109 on the Quinsigamond campus at 670 West Boylston Street in Worcester.  Handicapped access is available.

Spearheaded by Kathy Rozanski, professor of Nurse Education at QCC, the clinic is a unique community service and educational project for the Nursing II students.  The students, under the direction of Rozanski and Ellen Andrews, also professor of nurse education, will be in attendance and administering the vaccine.  In addition, VNA nurses will be on hand to guide attendees through the process and answer questions regarding the flu shot and influenza.

“We are very excited to collaborate with the VNA again this year,” stated Rozanski.  “The flu clinic provides great good will to the community.”

This clinic will be open to the public, including QCC staff and students; all participants are reminded to bring their insurance cards with them.
