QCC Music Professor Jose Castillo Wins Coveted Worcester Arts Council Fellowship Grant

Congratulations to Professor Jose Castillo who recently won a Worcester Arts Council  Fellowship Grant.

Worcester Arts Council (WAC) was seeking only two individuals who represented the best of Worcester’s creative community; the  fellowship grant is highly competitive. In WAC’s words, “He [Mr. Castillo] was chosen as an “innovative individual who demonstrates excellence in his field and represents the best of Worcester’s creative community”. The competition is open to individuals in any creative discipline.

Professor Castillo said, “I am very humbled, honored, and thankful to WAC for this fellowship award. It is always good to see that hours of schooling, work, practice, discipline, commitment, obedience, patience, consistency, and respect for others make an impact and a difference in the community.”
Professor Castillo would like to thank the QCC Family for their support and commitment to the arts. “Let’s make 2015 an innovative, exiting, and productive “Visual Performing Arts” year for our community, students and everyone at QCC!”
