Ultra Opportunities: Using the Ultra Transition to Elevate Teaching Effectiveness and Student Engagement

Ultra Opportunities: Using the Ultra Transition to Elevate Teaching Effectiveness and Student Engagement

Would you like to use the transition to Blackboard's Ultra course view to re-envision your course(s)?

This half-day workshop is intended for those who already have familiarity with the Ultra course view (i.e., you have done one or more of the following: attended one or more Ultra workshops, reviewed what’s in the self-paced course, used Ultra to teach, and/or have explored your Ultra Space Exploration course). Using backward design concepts, the facilitators will show you ways to re-imagine your course materials, content organization, assignments, and assessment of students’ work. Topics covered will include OER; Bb AI tools; Hypothesis; Kaltura, Annoto and YouTube videos; course objective alignment; assessment tools; and student support.

Although this will be a conceptual and not a how-to technical training, we encourage you to bring your laptop with you as there will be time to apply what you are learning to your course.

Facilitators: Amy Beaudry, Gaelan Benway, Pam Dempsey-O’Connell, Tenisha Mincey, and Michael Stevenson.
