This workshop is intended for faculty who want to use Turnitin as a learning tool to promote critical thinking and authentic, well-supported and correctly cited writing. Workshop attendees will learn how to integrate Turnitin into their lesson plans; how to “read” Turnitin originality reports; and how to teach students to use these reports to recognize plagiarism and unacceptable paraphrasing in their own writing, to notice when they have relied too heavily on quoted passages, and to understand how to cite and quote correctly.
