June Update

Beginning on Wednesday, June 15 at 6:00 a.m. – Thursday, June 15 at 6:00 p.m., there will be extensive milling and paving in the following locations:

  • The Loop Road
  • Lots 1 and 2
  • Surprenant and the rear parking lots of the Administration Building.

Please Note: for a short period of time, on June 15 and June 16, the section of the Loop Road between the Athletic Center and the Surprenant Hall parking lot will be closed.

During this time, access to the lower portion of campus will only be available via the West Boylston Street entrance.

The section of the Loop Road near the Tornado Memorial will open to two-way traffic. To again access to the Surprenant parking lot, a temporary entrance to that lot will be created.

The Suprenant parking lot and access to the road will be limited to faculty, staff, or handicap parking needs only and limited spaces will be available.

Once the portion of the Loop Road from the Athletic Center to Surprenant reopens then the lower portion from Surprenant to West Boylston Street will be closed and access to Surprenant Lot will via the Loop Road from Athletic Center. This portion of roadway will then be open to two-way traffic.

We realize this can be a bit confusing and will ensure:

  • Appropriate signage is posted as applicable.
  • Campus Police detail officers will assist to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • If you need assistance, please call Campus Police Dispatch at 508-854-4221.

Paving should be completed on Thursday, June 16 by 6:00 p.m. (Weather Permitting)

We ask for patience as roads, lots and crosswalks may be temporarily blocked off for a few minutes to accommodate work crews as needed.
