Why did you choose QCC?

I was unsure of my future goals at the time I applied. QCC was the best community college in the area.

What’s the best thing about QCC?

Quality of classes (“There are no bad professors here!”), and *campus activities*! I am involved in so many things: Student Senate President, Activities Committee, Dance Crew, PTK Honor Society, Orientation Leader, Commonwealth Honors Student, Diversity Council, Psi Beta Honor Society, Worcester Student Government Association (members are from all Worcester colleges) Dance teacher on campus.

Anything else you’d care to share about attending QCC?

I’m more challenged here at QCC than I was at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and Quinebaug Valley Community College. I was home schooled and graduated at 15; I attended Quinebaug Valley Community College then RPI, which I did not like. RPI was too small and it was a party school with too few students and all Greek life (fraternity/sorority) activity oriented. I felt like I didn’t fit in. QCC has more student diversity and such a huge variety of campus activities and events to get involved with that I found it really easy to fit in and find groups of like-minded people. That’s what I really needed to be happy and successful – great classes and lots of exciting and important campus activities!
