ACLC – Downtown Worcester at The Carberry Center

​Thank you for your interest in the Adult Community Learning Center’s program at The Carberry Center in Worcester. We are located at 25 Federal Street in downtown Worcester. We provide English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes, as well as preparation for the HiSET and GED exams at The Carberry Center.

The following ESOL classes are available:

  • ESOL Level 1 (evening only)
  • ESOL Level 2 (morning and evening)
  • ESOL Level 3 (morning and evening)
  • ESOL Level 4 (morning only)
  • Adult Career Pathways (mornings only)

This class prepares ESOL students for two careers in healthcare -- personal care assistant (PCA) and nursing assistant (CNA).

All ESOL classes include a computer course. Morning ESOL classes have the following schedule:
9:30am – 1:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Evening ESOL classes have the following schedule:
5:30pm – 9:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

The Adult Career pathways class. This class also has a computer component and the following schedule:
8:30am-1:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays

HiSET and GED preparation classes provide instruction in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and computers. The following HiSET and GED preparation classes are available:

  • Mornings from 9:30am – 1:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Evenings from 5:30pm – 9:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
