Ideal candidates for this certificate include individuals interested in some
formal education about young children but who are not currently interested in
earning an associate degree. This certificate program will gradually introduce
the participants to the development of young children along with the teaching
practices that are most effective when working with these children. All early
childhood education courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
Students may not repeat any early childhood education course more than twice.
