In order to receive credit for classes taken at the Worcester Art Museum you must
complete the following steps.
- Register and pay at the Worcester Art Museum for the classes of your choice
and inform the Worcester Art Museum that you would like to earn QCC credit for
your classes.
- Contact the Experience-Based Education department at QCC at 508-854-4380 to
initiate the registration process. You will receive an application, registration
form, and return envelope by mail.
- Complete both forms and return them to QCC in the envelope provided with a
check to cover the amount of credit you wish to earn (two credits or three credits).
A note about credit: Worcester Art Museum courses generally cover 30 hours of
contact time, which is equivalent to two credits. Students opting for three credits
are required to produce additional work so that the total amount of class and
individual time equals the 45 contact hours required for a three-credit course.
Your Class Your instruction and actual studio experience takes place at the Worcester Art
Museum. You will receive a syllabus at the beginning of the class, and this will
form the foundation for the scope of your learning. To earn credit, you will
develop a portfolio of the work you produce in your class. Be sure to
save any written assignments, readings, or other handouts provided by your
Worcester Art Museum instructor.
When you have completed your portfolio, please contact the
EBE department at QCC at 508-854-4380, to schedule your appointment for
the portfolio evaluation.
