In order to receive credit for classes taken at the Worcester Center for
Crafts you must complete the following steps.
- Register and pay at the
Worcester Center for Crafts for the classes of your
choice and inform the
Worcester Center for Crafts that you would like to earn QCC credit for your classes.
- Contact the EBE department at 508-854-4380 to
initiate the registration process for granting credit. You will receive an application, registration
form, and return envelope by mail.
- Complete both forms and return them to QCC in the envelope provided with a
check to cover the amount of credit you wish to earn (two or three credits).
A note about credit: Worcester Center for Crafts courses generally cover 30
hours of contact time, which is equivalent to 2 credits. Students opting for
three
credits are required to produce additional work during open studio times so that
the total amount of class and individual time equals the 45 contact hours
required for a three-credit course.
Your Class Your instruction and actual studio experience takes place at the
Worcester
Center for Crafts. You will receive a syllabus at the beginning of the class,
and this will form the foundation for the scope of your learning. To earn
credit, you will develop a portfolio of the work you produce in your class. Be sure to save any written assignments, readings, or other
handouts provided by your Worcester Center for Crafts instructor.
At the completion of your class your Worcester Center for Crafts instructor will
evaluate your portfolio.
