Advising Center

The Advising Center assists students in planning a strategy for achieving their career and academic goals. We guide students through the academic experience at QCC from the time they first enter the College until their final semester, and help them align their academic and career pursuits.

Starting at QCC

Upon entering QCC, all students are required to take the Accuplacer Placement Test. After completing the test, schedule an appointment with an advisor, who will be able to help you interpret your placement scores. They then will work with you to decide which QCC program of study best fits your goals, plan your semester schedule and register for the appropriate courses.

QCC Resources

Advisors also provide information about important resources at QCC and careers associated with QCC programs of study. (If you need assisting with a job search or finding a co-op or internship please contact Career Placement Services.)
